my journey

My story with computers began when I was five years old, sneaking onto a Windows 98 machine whenever my older brother wasn’t around. By the time I was 14, I was there when the MMORPG server files for my favorite game first leaked online. I was among the very first to spin up a private server, taking the files apart piece by piece to figure out how everything was connected.

What started as pure curiosity quickly turned into a passion: first running a private server on our family computer over Hamachi (definitely not the smartest security move), writing guides and tutorials on little discoveries, and slowly figuring things out. Eventually, I leveled up to a dedicated server with more than 200 active players. That’s when I got pulled into the “inner circle” of server admins, where I learned even more and felt the rush of being among the first to figure out or share something new. Those countless nights of tinkering, experimenting, and connecting with others are still some of my best memories.

Life, however, took me on a different path. Since I couldn’t find an apprenticeship in IT, I followed the classic Swiss fallback plan the KV. (Basically what every teenager here does when they have no clue what else to choose.)

Then in 2021, after some time in business, a part-time job as a technician reignited my spark and I rediscovered my love for electronics and computers. I decided to fully return to what I truly loved. Looking back, I couldn’t be happier about that step! Today I get to spend my days doing what once kept me up all night as a teenager, tinkering with computers and exploring new things.
